What Caused the Stroke? Part 2

It was a Sunday, and my soon to be my ex-wife called and asked “Can you pick me up?” I got in my van and tried to turn the key. About halfway, my right hand stopped, and fell down.

The whole arm was numb and lifeless. I tried to move it. Nothing. It was so bizarre. My left hand grabbed my arm and raised it up. My left hand dropped the arm, and my right side falls down. I could not feel the muscles or nerves. It was not my arm.

I got out of the van and was trying to make my arm work. I was shocked, and had no clue what I was going to do. Then, my legs were stumbling, and my knees almost buckled. I braced myself against the handrail and the wall, and climbed up to the door. Thank God it was only three steps. I was finally able to stagger into the apartment.

I made my way to the bedroom and laid down. When I turned to a different position, the right side was foreign. It looked like someone was moving, not me. It was surreal it was like my arm wasn’t my own. My left arm was wrestling, to move back to a normal position on the right side arm. What the hell happened? I decided to try to call.

To be continued ….
